Greetings from BIT, Mesra Alumni Association in North America!
The purpose of the Alumni Association is to network for business and career, build bonds and relive nostalgia and relationships and being to help our Alma Mater reach greater heights globally in Education and Research.
To this goal, we are having several programs, a brief recap
A brief recap on our past activities.
- the Immersive Summer Research Experience (ISRE™), where in students from BIT, Mesra, after the 3rd year, participate in Summer Research program at top American Universities/Institutes, like Illinois Institute of Technology and Carnegie Mellon. Additionally this year (Nayar Family Foundation) are planning to sponsor scholarships to three ISRE candidates who highly qualified academically, but do not have the financial means to pay their one-third share of the total costs of participation
- the RISE™ Symposium, last held on May 19th, 2018 at New Jersey with plethora of illustrious Speakers and Panelists from BIT, Mesra, and attended by almost 150 participants from all parts of the United States as well as Denmark and India along with BIT, Mesra Administration. https://youtu.be/82KVsYjLIt0
- we had a fantastic response to our chain series of Webinars, under brand मंच™ (Maanch), to leverage the knowledge, skills and experience inherent in our Alumni, which has the who’s who of luminaries leaders in many parts of the world, for our students and also our Alumni themselves. So far, we have had two such Webinars, titled "Moments of Epiphany: Things that emerged in clarity when my eyes were closed" was conducted by Anjan Lahiri, CEO, Birlasoft and Gurdeep Pall, Corporate Vice President, Microsoft Corporation for Business AI and of course, he will be taking on "The rise and future of AI”. Our next program is the RISE ATL at Atlanta, Sat, 9th Feb 2019! The vice Chancellor, Prof Dr M K Mishra is attending the RISE ATL and the programming includes the BIT BIT शार्क Tank Event an entrepreneurial program to connect Mentors, Advisors, Funds/Fund Managers and Alumni with Ideas and Early Stage Startups and ignite the flame for Entrepreneurship and throw light on the path moving forward for our Alumni Network and young hopefuls at BIT, Mesra.
