Changes @ BITMAA-NA:
Current leaders of BITMAA-NA board have been the founding members and have led the organization to making meaningful contributions over the last decade. We owe enormous thanks and gratitude to:
Late Madhavan Nayar (also of 63 Batch) was one of the founding leaders and provided enormous support to launch the student and faculty exchange.
The founding leaders made meaningful impact to the Institution’s reputation through several programs such as ISRE, RISE, CareerLessons - student mentoring, मंच™ (Maanch), Faculty Exchange, Faculty Webinars, and efforts to support the Innovation Lab (Pebbles™), water research, and now more recently a Pharma/Data Science program. All these happened with the guidance of the BITMAA-NA Officer Team from the 1959-63 batch. This officer team has requested to step down from their role having led BITMAA-NA for almost a decade.
A few months ago, the Board initiated an effort to identify suitable candidates to replace the current officer slate. Deven Sharma volunteered to lead the effort and put up a message on messaging services requesting suggestions for candidates to take the officer role.
We are now bringing the process to conclusion. The new BITMAA-NA Officer slate was presented to the board for due consideration and approval. The recommended new officer slate include:
It is our pleasure to announce that Anjan, Raweesh, Vijay and Pushkar have taken time from their busy lives to volunteer to lead the organization. They will count on each of you for your support both in volunteering time for one of the programs and financial support. Our collective interest and enthusiasm in supporting the advancement of the institution can make a difference. Please contribute Contribute to BITMAA-NA, and ofcourse reach out to any of the new leaders to discuss how you may provide support.
The board also passed a resolution to recognize Surinder Chadha, Ravi Jain, Suresh Jain and Late Madhavan Nayar for their enormous contributions to BITMAA-NA. They will remain on the board and when they choose to step away from the board, they will continue as emeritus board members
