Program and Initiative – Overview:
BITMAA-NA has had a plethora of Events, Webinars and Programs for Students, Staff and the Alumni across the years and in every quarter of the year!
ISRE Programs:
- The Immersive Summer Research Experience (ISRE™), where in students from BIT, Mesra, after the 3rd year, participate in Summer Research program at top American Universities/Institutes, like Illinois Institute of Technology and Carnegie Mellon. Additionally last year (2019) (Nayar Family Foundation) are planning to sponsor scholarships to three ISRE candidates who highly qualified academically, but do not have the financial means to pay their one-third share of the total costs of participation. The 2020 ISRE Program has been cancelled due to circumstances and environment present. The 2021 ISRE Program saw the event shift online (as expected due to Pandemic) and the 2022 ISRE Program has many participants joining in. Click this link

- The RISE™ Symposium, held on May 19th, 2018 at New Jersey with plethora of illustrious Speakers and Panelists from BIT, Mesra, and attended by almost 150 participants from all parts of the United States as well as Denmark and India along with BIT Mesra Administration.Click this link
- BITMAA-NA announced the most exciting event of the year, 2019 -- RISE ATL 2019 Symposium held in Atlanta, Georgia on February 9th 2019. Many distinguished alumni from all across North America shared their success stories and provided valuable guidance and support to upcoming entrepreneurs to turn their dreams into reality. The BIT शार्क टैंक™ program was launched in the America for the first time at the RISE ATL. The BIT शार्क टैंक™ Event is an entrepreneurial program to connect Mentors, Advisors, Funds/Fund Managers and Ideas/Early Stage Startups and ignite the light for Entrepreneurship for our Alumni Network and young hopefuls at BIT Mesra.Click this link
- RISE, Silicon Valley, held on Nov 16th, 2019, showcased a significant new level of cooperation with BIT Alumni and was co-hosted by both BITMAA-NA and BITOSA Silicon Valley and has the signature launch of and promotion of BIT Alumni Pebbles™ – styled to be an Innovations Labs and an entrepreneur ecosystem – where BIT Students, Faculty and Alumni, with entrepreneurial spirits, can showcase their Business Plans and have them judged by eminent Panelists. RISE also launched and promoted TechInit programs in diverse non-IT areas, on Environment and Water! मंच™ (Maanch) Webinar:
- We have had a fantastic response to our chain series of Webinars, under brand मंच™ (Maanch), to leverage the knowledge, skills and experience inherent in our Alumni, which has the who’s who of luminaries leaders in many parts of the world, for our students and also our Alumni themselves. So far, we have had many such Webinars, titled “Moments of Epiphany: Things that emerged in clarity when my eyes were closed” was conducted by Anjan Lahiri, CEO, Birlasoft and Gurdeep Pall, Corporate Vice President, Microsoft Corporation for Business AI and of course, he talked on “The rise and future of AI”. BITMAA-Pebbles™ - Innovation Lab:
- The BIT Innovation Fund and Lab supports BIT students, alumni and professors with a variety of initiatives matching to the interests and skills to explore, collaborate and develop next generation solutions to help community of innovators and entrepreneurs. This Initiative helps students in the development and/or commercialization of innovative technologies. This Initiative helps and aids to develop an innovation ecosystem that exists to support BIT, Mesra students and select alumni in their quest to explore the world of game-changing entrepreneurship and innovation.
